NARRATIVES
MARABU/மரபு
Logline : The story follows Mahani, a six-year-old Sri Lankan Tamil girl stranded at sea with only her father’s lifeless body beside her. As she drifts through foreign waters, the stories he once told her become a fragile refuge, revealing the silent trauma endured by refugee children and the deep dissociation that war and displacement can leave behind in the minds of the young.
Marabu is a poetic meditation on memory, tradition, and the invisible threads that carry culture across generations. The film reflects on how identity is shaped by the traditions we inherit — even when we are far from home.

FRIENDLY VISIT
Logline : Nero, a 30-year-old man who drops by to check in on a friend recovering from a recent accident. What begins as a wellness visit slowly unravels into something far more unsettling, as Nero starts to suspect that the person inside his friend’s home may not be who they claim to be. As tension builds within the confined space, the line between concern and paranoia begins to blur.
Set against the quiet unease of isolation, FRIENDLY VISIT is a contained psychological thriller that explores themes of trust, perception, and the lingering disorientation of post-lockdown life. Conceived as a COVID-era project, the film served as an opportunity to return to filmmaking after a period of stillness—allowing us to experiment with new equipment, rediscover our creative rhythm, and tell a tightly wound story within intimate constraints.

bleeding heart
Logline : The story follows Ajay, a young Indo-Canadian teenager caught between his loyalty to his friends and his relationship with his girlfriend. During a late-night smoke session with his group, what begins as casual bravado takes an unexpected turn when his girlfriend makes a request that challenges the group’s dynamic. As the night unfolds, Ajay is forced to confront his own insecurities and his need for validation, caught between proving his masculinity and holding onto his sense of self.
Set within the restless energy of youth from Brampton, Canada, the film explores themes of peer pressure, identity, and emotional immaturity. It reflects on the fragile nature of masculinity shaped by social expectations, and the lack of empathy that often defines adolescent relationships—offering a critical look at how young men learn to perform strength while suppressing vulnerability especially within the Punjabi community in Canada.

CURRY
Logline : Nivin, a 24 year old recent graduate international student, finds himself adrift in Canada during the isolating stillness of Christmas. Unemployed and far from home, his days blur into a quiet struggle marked by uncertainty and longing. As the festive season unfolds around him, Nivin is consumed by homesickness—his only refuge lying in vivid memories of his mother’s Kerala cooking, where warmth, love, and a sense of belonging once felt effortless.
Set against the emotional solitude of the immigrant experience, the film explores themes of displacement, identity, and the quiet toll of chasing stability in a foreign land. It reflects on the fragile thread that ties memory to survival, and how, in moments of deep loneliness, the past becomes both a comfort and a reminder of everything left behind.
